About Us

Philosophy

We follow several guiding principles that we’ve found result in happy clients and successful outcomes.

Well-informed clients make good decisions.
We break down legal concepts and complex issues into plain language, allowing clients to make smart business decisions and proceed with confidence.

Stay on top of the details and keep your eyes on the prize.
There’s no substitute for thorough due diligence and attention to detail. We dig into every agreement and contract, leaving no stone unturned, always keeping the ultimate goal top of mind.

Keep everyone in the loop.
We bring everyone into the conversation - clients and their brokers, financial advisors and other team members - ensuring everyone understands what’s going on and feels good about the deal.

Addressing issues now beats cleaning up costly problems later.
Our keen eye for spotting red flags gives us the opportunity to resolve issues, close loopholes and minimize risk now, preventing costly corrections and limiting exposure to disputes in the future.

Jonathan S. Feinsilver

Over the last 20 years, I have developed a holistic approach to my law practice which extends to my clients. My real estate counsel is always grounded in a broader business perspective. Similarly, I approach my clients’ issues not as singular matters, but rather in the context of their business, financial, and personal objectives.

Before starting my own firm, I practiced several years as a commercial litigator, handling everything from business dissolutions, intellectual property disputes, commercial contract claims, and divorce litigation.

My dispute resolution experience honed my ability to efficiently address obstacles, limit future exposure, and negotiate the most favorable terms for my clients. Having a litigator’s perspective gives me an edge over pure transactional lawyers who don't appreciate the risks.

I am also a New York State approved Real Estate Instructor. I have taught continuing education courses and presented at title companies and educational institutions on subjects including the purchasing process; commercial leasing; condominium and cooperative due diligence and financial statement analysis; business formation and operational matters; and contract law.
